Tara Mahavidya—The Second Mahavidya
Maa Tara is traditionally revered as the second among the ten Mahavidyas. The name “Tara” is associated with carrying across or guiding someone safely beyond difficulty. Although Her appearance may seem intense, Maa Tara represents compassion, protection, wisdom and the inner courage required to move through fear and uncertainty. Her fierce and compassionate qualities are not contradictory. A loving mother may appear gentle while comforting her child, yet become immensely strong when protection is required. In my understanding, Divine grace does not necessarily mean that every external problem will disappear instantly. Sometimes circumstances remain unchanged, but the strength to face them begins to awaken within us. This internal transformation is also an expression of grace.
